“The images in my work are the subtle minutiae of life. Much of my work is inspired my my other world of Motherhood, the memories of a collective, yet individual childhood and the heartbreak and joy of relationships. The complicated emotions that accompany all of these are what I portray. The specific and the generalized, the personal and the universal, all hold meaning for me.

I delve into my own experience as source material, and integrate imagery from the world around me.  Memories for me are like the wallpapers of a lived life. The motifs change as do the colours, yet there is a common thread that ties these thoughts together.

My intention is to bring the viewer into a place where I am able to engage them with imagery, text or sound; allowing them feel. I’d like to remind the viewer of visceral feelings; a punch in the gut or a whisper in the ear. I know that we are all connected and that our pasts have common links that bind us in the present.”
