Family Tissues

Family Tissues refers to a theoretical and experiential exchange regarding growth; both in biological and philosophic terms. The video is a performative collaboration with my three boys; the placenta is the location for discussion around relationships in the micro and macro. Although it was produced within me, experiencing the placentas as objects allowed me to view them anew… as a reminder of the in-between space between life and death.

Finally got around to watching this video – fascinating & fantastical – Gritty Gooey and oh so REAL. Wowzaas Gina.. Thank You..? For sharing something so raw & personal; for those of us who don’t have children, cool INSight – oh and how precious is that final vocal piece + the beautiful close up of ur charming wise-guy? Love it
